Family visit visa extension Saudi Arabia
Once you have secured visa for your family visit, your family can travel to Saudi Arabia. However, once your family has reached the end of their visa validity, you can apply for visa extension or renewal. The extension process is now available to do online throughout the year, even on public holidays. The process to request for visa extension must be initiated one week before the end of visa.
30 days visit visa
Can be applied for extension for a maximum of 5 times, for a total of 180 days
90 days visit visa
Can be applied for extension just once more, for a total of 180 days
Expatriates can now apply for extension and renewal of the visas of their family either manually or online.
Documents required are:
§ Original and copy of passport, copy of visa page
§ Original and copy of Iqama (sponsor of visit visa)
§ Passport size photo taken in white background
§ Filled up Passport form
§ Renewal visa fees 100SR
§ Residents of Dammam and Khobar require an online token
Gather all the documents and pay a visit to the Jawazat office. If you have not already paid your online fees and filled your passport form, then you can do so at the office by paying an extra 20SR. Confirm with them if it is your last extension or not.
§ For online visa extension, you need to have MOI Abshir account. If you don’t have one, then you can create a new one.
§ The extension family visit visa fee must be paid online on the website (100 SR)
§ Login on the MOI Abshir website and choose ‘E-Services’à’Passports’
§ Select ‘Extend Visa Visit’ and click ‘Proceed’ button
§ Click on ‘Confirm to Extend Visit Visa’ and get a confirmation message of the same
Overstaying is not a possibility as the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia imposes a fine of 25000 SR for overstaying, even for a single day.
